Dog Regulations and Dog Licensing Information
Resolution for the
Control and Licensing of Dogs
Dog registration is required by county
ordinance and
is provided as a free service by the county. In order to register your dog with the county, you
must provide a current rabies vaccination certificate for your dog
from a veterinarian (the rabies tags are not sufficient; you must
provide the certificate). You may register in person at the Sheriff's
Office, or mail in you information with rabies vaccination
certificate to Cherokee Blake, 303-582-1060. Tags may be
picked up at the office or mailed to you if you wish. Please note that your registration tags are
only valid as long as the rabies vaccination tags are up-to-date.
When the rabies vaccination tags expire, you must renew your dog's
county registration tags.
