COVID-19 Vaccine
Gilpin County is currently pre-registering COVID-19 vaccinations for Phases 1A and 1B (above dotted line on the CDPHE chart below), which includes health care workers, first responders and Gilpin County residents ages 70 and older. There are no exceptions to the regulations for these categories. We currently don’t know when we will receive our next shipment of vaccine.
Second homeowners are not eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccination in Gilpin County. Our allotment of vaccine doses from the State of Colorado is based on our population of primary residents. Second homeowners should inquire about vaccination in the county of their primary residence.
Health care workers and first responders should schedule their appointments using the instructions provided by your employer. Gilpin County residents ages 70 and older can now pre-register using the instructions listed below. We will be scheduling vaccination clinics based on when we receive an allocation of vaccine from the state.
How to pre-register: Please complete this brief electronic form: https://forms.gle/SFqzYFheUqVew9xm7. If you are unable to complete this online form, please call 303-515-4342 for assistance. PLEASE NOTE: After you are pre-registered, when your vaccination phase/category becomes eligible, you will be notified via email (or phone if you are not able to receive email) and will receive a link to the online self-scheduling system. You do not need to call us back to schedule.
Cost: Free
Before your appointment: Please review these two documents
What to Bring:
- Proof of Gilpin County residency (e.g., residential lease, residential utility bill, passport). Second homeowners are not eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations in Gilpin County. Our allotment of vaccine doses from the State of Colorado is based on our population of primary residents.
- Completed vaccination form
Please be prepared to wait at your vaccination location for at least 15 minutes after your vaccination in order to monitor for allergic reactions.
Transportation: Individuals who need assistance getting to the Gilpin County COVID-19 vaccination clinic can call 303-582-5803.
We appreciate your ongoing patience as we navigate through the changing vaccination phases/categories and logistical challenges. We will make updates to our website as new information becomes available.
PLEASE NOTE: Children under the age of 18 are NOT eligible to receive the vaccination at this time; therefore, please DO NOT pre-register them.
While you wait to get vaccinated, please continue doing your part by wearing a mask, washing your hands, and maintaining a physical distance of at least 6 feet from those not in your household.
Once you have received a COVID-19 vaccine, it is imperative that you continue to follow public health guidelines for the health and safety of our community. Please continue to wear a mask and social distance.
