Gilpin County created the Property Tax Work-Off Program in 2005 to allow senior citizens and disabled taxpayers the opportunity to work on projects with various Gilpin County departments in order to pay the County portion of their property taxes. In 2007, Gilpin County RE-I School District joined our program (school limit: 2-3 participants). Jobs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Gilpin County cannot guarantee the completion of potential work hours. Note: This program is not to be confused with the senior tax credit. For more information on the senior tax credit click here or please contact the Assessor's Office at 303-582-5451.

This is a seasonal program; please note the following schedule:
November 1 to November 30: open enrollment **applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis NOW CLOSED!
December 1 to December 31: job matching period
January 1 to April 28: participant work period
